Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced that Microsoft will be providing broadband internet technology to five lakh villages. A huge sum indeed. The move comes in light of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi's visit to United States where he met with the giants of the tech world including Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen, Apple's Tim Cook, Google CEO Sundar Pichai.
Microsoft will be participating in the Digital India and Make in India campaigns. Nadella's Microsoft would be teaming up with the Indian government to provide low cost efficient internet connections to people living in rural areas. Also, Microsoft would be rolling out cloud computing services which would be operating from India.
So, what do you guys think? I think that India is really going to progress now that all the things are happening. I will be covering the tour of Mr. Modi in the United States further. So stay tuned. Also, tell me what do you guys think of the "revolution" being buzzed in the social media and how can it change India's future.
